Business Email for Churches & Faith Organizations
office@, pastor@, and volunteer coordination on a domain your congregation recognizes.
Part of the collection Business email, industry by industry
Congregations donate and volunteer based on trust. Communication from @yourchurch.org reinforces community identity better than scattered personal addresses.
Role addresses survive leadership changes
Pastors, administrators and volunteer leads change over the years. If the church’s mail lives in a former leader’s personal account, you lose history and sometimes access to accounts registered with it. Role mailboxes such as office@, pastor@ and giving@ stay with the church; when someone steps down, an admin resets the password or suspends their named mailbox.
A typical set of mailboxes
- office@ — general enquiries, weddings, funerals and room bookings
- pastor@ — the senior leader’s public address
- giving@ or treasurer@ — donation receipts and questions
- youth@, music@ or volunteers@ for ministry leads
- Named mailboxes for staff who need their own
Good practice with a congregation’s data
- Use BCC or a proper mailing tool for announcements, so members’ addresses are not exposed
- Send donation receipts from the church domain, not a volunteer’s personal address
- Have an admin who can recover a mailbox when a volunteer forgets a password
- Remind members that the church will not ask for gift cards or urgent transfers by email — impersonation scams target congregations
