Mistakes we see from South African setups

• Using the free cPanel email from your web host. It usually has no DKIM, sends from a shared IP, and lands in spam at Gmail, Outlook and corporate mail filters.
• Sticking with an ISP address (telkomsa.net, mweb.co.za, vodamail.co.za). You lose it if you change provider, and it looks like a home account.
• Choosing SSL/TLS on port 587 in Outlook. On 587 you must select STARTTLS; SSL on 587 fails silently and people blame the server.
• Fibre ISPs and mobile networks block outbound port 25. Nothing you do needs port 25, so ignore any guide that tells you to use it.
